Mindfulness for Health and Well-Being: A 5-Week Journey

The event will be held on Tuesdays: 11/19,11/26,12/3,12/10 and 12/17 from 1:30-3:00pm

Join us for a transformative 5-week series designed to help you cultivate mindfulness and improve both your physical and emotional well-being. Whether you’re new to mindfulness or looking to deepen your practice, this series will provide you with the tools and techniques to live with greater awareness, reduce stress, and enhance overall wellness.

Each week, we will explore different aspects of mindfulness, from stress reduction and emotional balance to mindful movement and self-compassion. Through guided meditation, interactive exercises, and reflective discussions, you will learn how to apply mindfulness practices in your everyday life to support better health, enhance your mental clarity, and foster a deeper sense of peace.

What to Expect:

  • Week 1: Introduction to Mindfulness & Stress Reduction
    In this first session, you’ll learn the fundamentals of mindfulness and how it can be a powerful tool for managing stress. Through guided meditation and practical exercises, you’ll discover techniques to quiet the mind, stay present, and reduce the impact of stress on your body and mind. This session sets the foundation for cultivating greater calm and balance in your daily life. Perfect for beginners and those looking to refresh their practice!
  • Week 2: Cultivating Mindful Awareness & Emotional Resilience
    In this session, you’ll explore how mindfulness can help you develop greater emotional resilience. Through awareness practices, you’ll learn to observe your emotions without judgment, allowing you to respond to challenges with more clarity and calm. We’ll dive into techniques that help you stay grounded during difficult moments, fostering emotional balance and inner strength. This session is designed to help you navigate life’s ups and downs with greater ease and mindfulness.
  • Week 3: Mindfulness for Physical Health & Pain Management
    In this week, you’ll discover how mindfulness can support physical health and help manage pain. We’ll explore techniques that increase body awareness, reduce tension, and ease the experience of chronic pain. By focusing on the mind-body connection, you’ll learn to relate to physical discomfort with greater calm and compassion, promoting healing and well-being. This session is ideal for those looking to enhance their health through mindful practices.
  • Week 4: Mindful Movement & Body Awareness
    In Week 4, you’ll engage in gentle mindful movement practices that deepen your connection to your body. Through exercises like stretching, walking meditation, and breath-focused movement, you’ll learn to move with intention and awareness. These practices will help you cultivate a deeper sense of body awareness, improve flexibility, and release physical tension, promoting overall well-being and balance. Perfect for all levels of mobility.
  • Week 5: Practicing Self-Compassion & Sustaining Well-Being
    In this final session, you’ll learn the art of self-compassion and how it supports long-term well-being. We’ll explore practices that help you cultivate kindness toward yourself, especially during difficult moments. Through guided meditations and reflective exercises, you’ll develop tools to maintain emotional balance and sustain a mindful, compassionate approach to life. This session will empower you to carry forward the mindfulness practices you’ve learned, nurturing ongoing health and inner peace.

By the end of this series, you will have a deeper understanding of mindfulness practices and how they can support a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. All levels are welcome!

Your Facilitator

Laura Hallett is a professional educator, curriculum designer, artist, author, and ordained minister with Centers for Spiritual Living. Currently, she is the Senior Minister at Center for Spiritual Living, Greater Las Vegas. She regularly speaks, conducts workshops, leads spiritual retreats, and teaches classes on meditation, mindfulness, creativity, and transformational spirituality.
